Comments from Spanish Weekend Intensive class

A fun , multi sensory approach to foreign language learning ...hearing, seeing, and saying interspersed with singing, role playing ( acting), and even a relaxation exercises (yes, nap time). Forget about your old fashioned " book larnin" approach. Arlene provides a joyous experience in her approach to students becoming conversationally proficient. (Harry Y./Julio)

On the second day of the weekend intensive, Arlene did an exercise where she only spoke Spanish and I was able to understand 90% of what she was saying based on the strong foundation of pronunciation and vocabulary we had already established. This is an excellent course to familiarize yourself with the basics of Spanish and get comfortable for travel or primed for her 84-hour extended course! (Heather P./ Lola)

We loved the Italian Intensive!  By Sunday we were astounded at how much we'd learned.  By putting so much of your own personality and joy into your teaching--not to mention having the classes right in your home, so many of those classroom barriers to learning just disappeared.  Learning Italian wasn't about memorizing vocabulary and conjugating verbs, it was about singing, playing, and putting on skits.  It was learning from a different side of the brain, and we liked it!  We are both are having fun playing with vocabulary, phrases and songs. (Cathy and Doug C./Rafaella and Ugo)
